This 10 things about me post is brought to you partnership with Sole Society. I love collaborating with brands that I love and trust. Post ideas and opinions are my own!
Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I thought today would be kind of fun to tell you a few things you might not know about me! I always love reading these kinds of posts and I know you all do, too! Especially if you’re new here, you might not know about a few of my quirks! Take a peek at the 10 things about me you might not know!
10 FUN THINGS ABOUT ME YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW
1. I’m a germaphobe. I’m totally that person that wipes down my airplane seat, tray table, seat belt and whatever else. It’s rare to find me sans a bottle of Purell, though I prefer hand washing. When my kids touch things in public and put their hands in their mouthes, I get nauseous. Indoor play areas are one of the things I have nightmares about. Ha!

2. I am 5’2, barely. I have super long legs for a shorter person, so it’s an optical illusion in a way. One of the main things people say to me when they see me in public is that they can’t believe how “small, short” I am in real life!

3. I’d give you the shirt off my back. I always wanted to be like Oprah when I grew up so that I could just walk around giving people anything they need. I’m not there yet, clearly! Giving away gift cards at At Home a few weeks ago was one of my favorite things to do! I love surprising and delighting people in that way! I try to live by the saying “it’s never wrong to open your hand” and I think it’s a good one.

4. I am not a fan of elevators. I have a legit fear of getting stuck in one and if I must ride one, I will never ride one solo. I always figure I’d be better getting stuck in one with someone else than alone. I will walk the stairs and call it cardio if there’s no one to ride the elevator with.

5. I’m an extrovert and thrive on being around people, but I also like my alone time and feel stressed if there is constant chaos or noise. It’s a tough balance!

6. I thrive in a clean and organized environment, but I really struggle at being organized. It’s been a life long battle for me. Clutter completely stresses me out!

7. I can’t lie. It totally stresses me out. I’m a great secret keeper, but I will have to avoid people that they are about because I will feel guilty not telling them. Whether its a pregnancy, surprise party, etc. Honestly is the best policy.

8. I drink my coffee black. Always have. Always will. Fun Fact: I tried to give up coffee once and 2 weeks later I was still having SPLITTING headaches. Never again! I need a cup of coffee each morning. Mr. Fancy has never been a coffee drinker. Opposites attract! Ha!

9. I have a major receding gum line issue on my lower teeth. It’s been an issue since I was young and I actually had surgery on it in high school, where they removed the skin that attached my lip to the area under my teeth. People have made such mean comments about the spaces on the bottom row of my teeth over the years and anytime I see it, it reminds me of this flaw that I wish I didn’t have. Sadly, it just continues to get worse.

10. Dream job? Besides being Oprah? Being a pop star. And no, I can’t sing and I can’t dance.

Did you learn anything new things about me in this post? I’m super excited to share these two fall inspired looks with you! I was thrilled to partner with Sole Society to share a few more fall shoe options with you! I love these KNOTTED BOOTIES and they are super neutral, but also have a pop of pizazz on the sides with the knotted area! I’d definitely call these the perfect everyday booties! Pair them with this fun silver TOTE bag (also comes in rose gold) and you are fall ready! It’s no secret that I love leopard print. It’s such a neutral to me and it goes with all the things! I saw these MULE BOOTIES and knew they were a fall must! Not only are they adorable, but they are also so darn cute! I love them! They come in a beige and cream color as well! They are definitely another fall must in my book! Which Sole Society fall inspired look is your favorite? Have a great day, friends! XO!

Thanks for sharing. You have an amazing smile.
I have to say sometimes a flaw becomes part of your personality. It’s a positive now more than a negative, it makes you, you. You have a really good vibe and I think that is why I’ve followed you for so long.
Would you say that orange top runs true to size? Enjoy reading your blog!
Thank you!
Yes! I did a size small!
I so identify with several things you said. I too am a germaphobe and thanks to you and the hotel remote in zip lock bag, I can finally turn on the TV in a hotel room. lol. I am also almost 5 2′ and I am VERY short waisted! Thank you so much for sharing!
We recently stayed at a hotel and immediately wiped down the remote and door handles, well pretty much everything! I also hate elevators. We were on the fifth floor and I took the stairs almost everytime!! The one time I did ride in the elevator a man started talking about almost getting stuck the day before! That was it for me…stairs here I come!
Love these posts! Thanks for always being honest and true. Love reading your blog, Instagram posts and watching your stories.
