Happy Friday, friends! I hope you’ve had a great week! I am excited for the weekend and loved this shorter week! I wanted to give a bit of an update on BBG and how it’s going for me! You might remember THIS POST, when I explained why I chose BBG. I am on week 8 and it’s going pretty well. I’m still really liking it and don’t let it fool you, it’s SO HARD! In a good way! I’m still intermittent fasting and actually liking that as well. I still have days that I start to get hungry around 10, but for the most part, I am able to wait until 12 or 12:30 to break my fast. I usually do my food intake between 12pm to 7pm each day, unless we are out for dinner. Those days, I might try to push my start time a tad later. I’ve been really trying to eat cleaner for the most part and I think there is definitely something to be said for that. I do miss my weekly french fries, but I figure once I hit my goal, I can add those back in, in moderation. Ha! I’ll be honest, I haven’t lost much weight on the scale, maybe just a couple pounds that fluctuate, but as I said before, my goal was to tone up and feel better. I really don’t care what I weigh, as long as I feel good, in all aspects. I looked in the mirror a few weeks ago and truly felt like there wasn’t much of a change in my body, but then I took pictures and I can see that this is working…maybe not as fast as I’d like, but slow and steady wins the race as they say! All in all, I am really pleased with how it’s going and I really think BBG is an awesome workout, especially for the busy gal or guy on the go!
I have had lots of questions about what items I purchased to do BBG at home. For the first few weeks, the items needed were minimal, but I ended up needing to get the benches and I’m really glad I did. You can always do BBG at your local gym if you don’t want to invest in these items, but I am working out at home, so these were a must for me! I do plan to do another round of BBG (I think) after this is over and I feel like this is equipment that we will use again and again!
BBG ESSENTIALS DETAILS:
MEDICINE BALL (I did a 6 pound ball. I’m glad I did. I almost bought a 10 pounder and it would’ve been too heavy for me!)
BENCH (I purchased two because you need two together some weeks!)
HAND WEIGHTS (I am using 3 pound weights because that’s what I had already.)
This equipment is only used on certain days and during certain weeks. Just a reminder, I am doing the 12 week program via the BBG E-Book.

Now, onto some more fun things. Here are a few pictures of before, 6 weeks in and 8 weeks in. I think it is helping a bit, don’t you? I do want to tone my arms and stomach big time. Those were my main goals and really the reason I cleaned up my eating so much. They say diet is so huge in toning. But, all in all, I am pretty happy with the changes thus far!

So, I also have to sport cute workout gear to keep myself motivated. It might sound random, but, looking cute while working out actually helps me stay on track! Here are a few looks that I’m loving right now! Since I workout at home, I could pretty much wear anything, but like I said, I like the cute gear! Plus, I can wear it for school drop off/ pickup and even on my fakeout days (Days when I wear workout gear but don’t actually workout! Ha!)

A few things Ive learned about myself in the past 8 weeks…I truly never thought I had the motivation to workout on my own. I was wrong. I’ve been so proud of how well I’ve stayed on track. I’ve had a few days where I didn’t feel like working out, but I pushed through and after I’m finished, I’m always glad that I pushed myself to do it! Believing in yourself is definitely a huge part of this. I was taking a spin class yesterday and legit thought I couldn’t keep going, but a voice in my head was like “look how far you’ve come!” It’s not always easy going through these seasons of life and struggling with weight/appearance. You can totally feel alone and isolated, but remember that you’re not alone and so many of us, myself included, can relate. You are enough. You are awesome. You are strong and you can do anything you set your mind to! Have a wonderful weekend! XO!

Bbg is a great workout. I had to modify after so many weeks of it bc it was too much “jumping”. Great job!
