Happy Wednesday lovelies!!!
What an exciting week it has been and it’s only Wednesday! I am over the moon excited about our new group collaborative blog, Every Day Cheer! I had my first post over there yesterday! If you haven’t had a chance to go check it out, you must! Lots of fabulous content, every single day! Yay!
In the midst of all the excitement, I realized that I had forgotten that we were having our family pictures done on Friday! My sweet friend Lauren offered to do them and her photog skills are simply fabulous, so I couldn’t wait to schedule a date with her! I think I just figured that I would get to the outfit planning at some point and then I woke up yesterday at 4:45 am (thank you daylight savings time and Teddy!) and realized that I hadn’t put much thought into it. By 6 am, I had a game plan and our outfits were set! Planning family picture outfits is so much fun for me. I seriously love it!!! The act of coordinating a whole family is just awesome and I enjoy it so much!
Tis the season to take family pictures, so, I am going to share our Christmas pic attire plans with you today! Maybe it will help give you some inspiration for your own! I think the ensembles are pretty darn fabulous for semi last-minute! Most items are things that we all already had in our closets…even more of a bonus!
My top (little boys Crewcuts) was my inspiration piece and I based the rest of the fam bam’s outfits off of it! I typically pick a piece or two that one or two fam members will wear and I base the whole fam’s outfits on that piece(s). Last year, it was Teddy and Mr. Fancy’s matching Buffalo Check shirts. 🙂
This is what I will be wearing this year! My whole outfit will def be worn again and again this fall and winter!
Shirt / Vest / Necklace / Jeans / Boots
This is what my fancy mini me, Reagan, will be wearing! The only item that I had to add to her wardrobe was the red mini skirt! The rest are pieces from her existing closet that I pieced together!
Shirt / Vest / Skirt / Tights / Boots
This is what the Tedster will be wearing! Again, he had most of these items and will wear all of them, together or separate, again and again! I loved the idea of matching his tie with my top! He prefers a bow-tie, but he has to settle for a regular tie, due to his mom’s lack of planning. 🙂
Last but not least, Mr. Fancy…he might not even know that we are taking family pictures on Friday yet…but I know that he reads the bloggity blog, so, “Mr. Fancy, fam bam pics are on Friday at 3:30 pm! Be there or be square! Muah!”
Sweater / Jeans / Shirt / Shoes
I can’t wait to see the finished pics!!! I hope this gives you some inspiration for your own fam bam pictures! Tis the season to start thinking about Christmas cards! I need to pick and get mine ordered asap! Hooray!!!
Love all of your picks! Your pictures are going to be beautiful!! Now I have to get on the bandwagon and plan ours ..thanks for the inspiration 🙂
LOVE your Christmas card ensembles! I may have to borrow your faux-fur vest idea… and I love that your mini has one too!
We got our family photos taken a few weeks ago and now I trying to pick out our Christmas card! It is so much fun deciding what you’ll wear in the family Christmas card. I went with really simple clothes this year because I waited too long….next year we’re wearing more color!
