Happy Saturday lovely peeps! I am writing from up in the air! We are headed home from a whirlwind trip to work on some stuff for the new house in Houston! It was a tad stressful because there were LOTS of decisions to be made in an extremely short time frame. But, we did it and I’m feeling totally at peace with our choices and decisions. Now let’s just pray that I will still love all those choices still, when we move in! Ha! I have to say that I felt a little stressed and overwhelmed when we got to town on Thursday evening. I think my second guessing started to get the better of me. Now that we have sold our house and it’s time to move on, I think the fear of not picking the right house, is suddenly rearing it’s ugly head. As I said, home is home, as long as we are all together, but I still worry about making the right decisions. I mean, who doesn’t? I repeated this in my head a bunch as I laid awake most of Thursday night, thinking about the move….
I think it’s easy to second guess decisions that you make. Well, at least it is for me. I wish I could be one of those people who just make a decision and move on from it. I’m working on that. As I spent the day working on picking items for the new house, I found myself worrying about all the aspects that I might not like, all the aspects that are different from the place that we have called home for four years. Mr. Fancy said to me, “stop worrying about all the things that you might not like and focus on all the positives! You should be excited!” So true! I needed that little pep talk to whip me back into shape! I’m feeling a lot more at peace with the decisions and the house in general today and I am looking forward to seeing it all finished and sharing the details with all of you.
Even though this was a whirlwind weekend, I feel blessed that I could to have a little alone time with Mr. Fancy. He’s headed back out of town early next week, so we all cherish the time we can be together. We are both so excited to see the Little Presidents! We can’t wait! Hoping for a peaceful afternoon and evening, just enjoying each other’s company.
