Happy Wednesday lovelies! I hope you are having a good week! I had a pretty long day yesterday. I am looking forward to moving forward today and having a better day! I’m also looking forward to having a little celebration tomorrow. Besides my fancy pom-pom garland, I don’t have a ton set up for the 4th. So, I am scrambling a bit today to get prepared! I have this quick, simple and fun skewer recipe to share with you today! Caprese salad is a fave of mine. Naturally, I had to attempt to make it as an app version too. These fancy little skewers are perfect for an app for a party but I also enjoy them for lunch some days as well.
Fancy Caprese Skewers
Ingredients
The necessities:
- marinated fresh mozzarella you can use plain
- fresh basil
- baby tomatoes I used heirlooms
- balsamic glaze a fave of mine
- fancy skewers I found these at target back in may-check there or party city
Again this is so simple, so it’s perfect to make ahead, or just minutes before your guests arrive. As you know, I just fly by the seat of my pants on a lot of things like this! So, I just went in a tomato, mozzarella and basil order and kept going until my skewer was full! See! So very simple!
There you go! You have a delish and pretty darn cute app! I always eat/serve with a little bit of balsamic glaze. If you haven’t tried this glaze, you should! It’s seriously amaze! This app will be the perfect addition to any par-tay…and you know that 4th of July BBQ that you are having/attending tomorrow? These would be the perfect addition to that too!
