Life Update!

Hi friends and let me just say this update is a long time coming. As social media has become more prevalent and people have stopped reading blogs as much, it’s harder and harder to schedule to the time to write these posts. In my 10+ years of blogging, it has been fascinating and amazing to see it evolve over the years. But, I’d be remiss if I said I didn’t miss parts of it from back in the day. I know a lot of you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, too, so this might be info you already know, but if not, here is the biggest update…

WE ARE MOVING!! To Florida!

Let my preface this by saying that a lot of you have been with me since my California days, so you have walked this road with me before. Back, almost 10 years ago, when we moved to Texas! We have enjoyed our time here and truly it made the most sense for our family location wise while Mr. Fancy was still traveling. We have felt a tug over the past few years to potentially move, but nothing ever really aligned, so we decided to stay put and purchase a rental property in Florida (on 30A) for you guys to rent! Once we went a couple times, I really felt the tug to make the move there full time. We had chatted about it last summer as well, but again, the timing was off. So, fast forward to this time and everything seemed to not only fall into place, but rapidly fall into place.

I have truly felt like this push to move to the beach has been a God thing all along. And I’m proud of us to be following his will for us. We were presented an opportunity to purchase a home in a neighborhood that we love and it needs a little fancy facelift, so it was very meant to be. The sale of our Texas home has been the same. Thanks to Instagram, I had interest prior to listing it and while I am sad to leave this home because I love it, I am truly thrilled for our new owners to get to experience this house as well.

So, what now, Ashley, you are probably asking…

We will be headed to Florida full time in July and while it seemed so far off, it has quickly become a date that is happening faster than I could imagine. Between summer travel and camps and the rest of it, the date will be here before we know it! I have lots more to share and tell you guys, but if you could pray for a smooth transition for us…mainly my kiddos, I would be so grateful. I had a few Instagram comments asking me “how could you do this to your kids?!” And I truly look at it as I am doing this for my kids. We have 6 and 7 years left with our kids at home, which really isn’t that long when you think about it. I am showing them that you’re never too old to start over and you’re never too old to follow a dream. I don’t expect everyone to understand and I’m okay with that! We are confident in our decision and while we have all the feelings and nerves that come with moving, we are excited for this adventure!
