I ate frozen pizzas from Trader Joe’s on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night last week (their mini pizzas are so good!) and made homemade pizza on Friday. It was crazyyyyyy. Pizza overload! I decided I needed to get my act together with my eating and get back on track. I make different things for the little presidents during the week, but I always seem to end up eating a frozen pizza, mainly out of ease and exhaustion. I decided to sit down and plan out some mid week meals for a month. I went through my Pinterest “yummy” board and wrote down all the recipes I wanted to try. Then I scheduled the meals for the next few weeks. This week was my first week and I even made some personal sized portions to freeze, so that if I am in a bind and feel too tired too cook, I will eat those healthy options instead of a frozen pizza! Ha! I’m happy to say that week one has gone well. I’m just hoping I can keep it up. I wrote all my meals on my pantry chalkboard, as well, as in my meal planning book and I think it held me accountable. I think I might start posting my meal plans for the week, on Mondays, for those of you that asked me to blog about the recipes that I am trying!
Reagan is a budding artist. She colors, draws and paints constantly. She has even colored her dresser. She’ll say “mom! come see this! doesn’t it look faboolusss?!,” when she colors the dresser. She has a perfect wall for a chalkboard in her room and I am pretty much chalkboard obsessed, so I had the idea to paint one and frame it. I planned to make my own frame, but Home Depot doesn’t cut angles for you, which I just learned and I’m not skilled enough to buy a saw (yet!), so I had to order one from Hob Lob. It’s definitely not the cheapest route because I needed such a huge frame, but they were 50% off, so I still did okay! I had our handyman put the board and the frame onto the wall to be sure it was super secure and I am thrilled with how it looks all finished! It’s always fun to see a vision come to life! Oh, and she loves it too!
