Friday Favorites

Well, it’s been crazy here in Houston this week. My yard has flooded and I have three leaks in my attic that are causing water to leak into our bedroom. I came home yesterday to a puddle on the floor in our bedroom and a wet bed. Ugh. It’s been just about a year since our first water issue with this casa, so it’s just crazy this is happening. You can read about my crazy floor fiasco here. Onto happier things! It’s supposed to be sunny today, so I’m going to enjoy that and hopefully spend some time outside!!

These are a few things that are making my week!

I’ve been thinking about 4th of July recipes and one of my all time favorites are my mason jar shortcakes. This year will definitely be different, as we have always celebrated the 4th with our besties. I’m wishing we could all be together this year! Boohoo! If you have not tried my shortcakes, they are awesome and easy. You can sub any fruit. My caprese skewer recipe is pretty great for the 4th of July or any summer BBQ for that matter! I LOVE them!

I’m having so much fun working on our TV room. I seriously can’t wait to show you the finished product! Things are arriving daily and I’m so excited to see it all come together! Since it has rained SOOOOOO much this week, we have spent a lot of time at home. I’ve been using that time to try and get organized, print photos, etc. I came across this one of the little presidents and it is just so funny! It’s definitely one of my favorites ever!

I’m all about the palm leaf print and when I saw this romper for $25, I knew it was a summer must have! It comes in a few colors, but the palm print is my fave and such a summer staple!!
