Hi friends and happy Wednesday! I hope your week is off to a great start! After removing my dip manicure last week (see my how to here), I attempted my own gel manicure and pedicure this weekend and I’m excited to share the details with you! I’ll be honest, I’ve never been great at painting my own nails or anyone else’s for that matter, but I knew I had to attempt something here at the house while we are quarantined. I wanted to try a gel polish, but didn’t want to have to do a blue light to cure it. Upon my research, I found the Sally Hansen brand gel and after using it on my fingers and toes, I am in love! It was super simple and easy and I love the outcome! I need to get better at filing my nails and painting my right hand, but all in all, I’m pretty proud of myself for this at home gel manicure! Take a peek at what I used!
How to do a Gel Manicure at Home
GEL POLISH // SHINY TOPCOAT // MATTE TOPCOAT (WHAT I USED) // NAIL FILE
HAND CREAM // NAIL POLISH REMOVER & NAIL BRUSH (FOR MISTAKES) // NAIL GROWTH TREATMENT
I hope this helps! There are tons of different color options, but I shared my three favorite! Also, I ordered mine via Shipt from my local store and it was delivered within a couple hours, so it was a win win for me! You can also order all of these items and have the delivered right to your doorstep, which makes an at home gel manicure even easier!
Do you plan to try your own gel manicure during the next few weeks? I’d love to hear how it goes for you!!
Have a great day! XO!
