Happy Monday!!!
I hope you had a super fabulous weekend! Mine was so relaxing. I spent lots of time on the couch relaxing and spent some time baking as well! I haven’t left the house since Friday and it has been amazing. I should have been packing up the house, but I think we just needed to rest. The weeks are so jam-packed and busy that we are all exhausted and ready to lay low when the weekend rolls around!
Pretty much directly after kissing me hello on Thursday night, Mr. Fancy headed straight for the fridge, in search of mini mason jar pecan pies. I ate the last of them while he was out of town, so I promised to make more this weekend. It’s safe to say that we are all pretty much addicted to them! I whipped some up this weekend and decided that I wanted to take some down to our best friends’ house as a little treat too! As I have said before, I’m a huge fan of the “just because” gift and I do them a lot. It brings me such joy to know that a little gesture could brighten someone’s day. I immediately thought of my friend Lauren’s “I am thankful for you” printables that she shared on our collaborative blog, Every Day Cheer, last week, when I decided to make a little gift box. I figured her ADORABLE printables would be the perfect addition to this cute little box of goodies that I wanted to put together!
I started out by punching big circles out of kraft paper card-stock. I love this circle punch! it’s large and in charge. The possibilities are endless with it. I use it a ton! Then I printed the printables out onto these sticker sheets and then cut them out and then I stuck them to my card-stock circles! Easy and so adorable!
I used fabric scraps to attach the tags to the mini mason jar pecan pies. Aren’t they just too cute?!
I decided to add some Starbucks Thanksgiving Blend K-Cups as well. Our friends recently bought a Keurig (the best coffee maker ever!!!) and coffee and pecan pie are seriously so delish together, so I thought it would be the perfect pairing. I know this because I eat these pies for breakfast some days and when I do, I pretend they are calorie-free. 🙂
Such a cute little box of goodies! This box was so simple and it makes such a big statement. We are extremely thankful for our best friends that are also our neighbors (not for much longer. 🙁 sadness.) and I think this is the perfect little gesture to let them know that we love and appreciate them!
Do you have friends that you are extremely grateful for? A little basket of goodies like this, might be the perfect little love-filled gesture to let them know, just how thankful you really are for them.
