Reagan’s Bathroom Project

Hi all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I wanted to share some inspiration for Reagan’s recent bathroom project! A little backstory (in case you’re new here), we bought this house about 4 years ago with full intentions to renovate all of it. While we started with main rooms, like the kitchen, laundry room and family room. We knew the bathrooms would last on the list and we started with our master bathroom last fall. Earlier this year, we had anticipated a possible move on our horizon, so the thought process was to finish these bathrooms and then the whole house would be updated. All that to say, corona hit and we will be staying put for now. But regardless, the house will be all updated after these bathroom projects are completed and a few minor cosmetic things to the entry way. And honestly, I’m excited to say that by the end of the year, we have updated this whole place, slowly but surely. This house was built in the 1980’s and had a lot of tweaking needed to make it more efficient for our family and lifestyle and we are thrilled with how it’s turning out!

Onto Reagan’s bathroom. Because we are not moving (right now), I decided to go a little more bold in the bathrooms, with tile and color. I’ve always wanted to do a decorative cement tile and after years of loving it, I decided why not, for Reagan’s bathroom and our guest bathroom! These bathrooms are tiny and this fun floor tile makes a big impact! I kept the rest of the bathroom pretty neutral and did all subway tile in the showers with grey grout. I pulled more grey from Reagan’s bathroom floor tile and do a grey penny tile. I used white grout with the grey penny tile because it lightens it up and makes it pop more. We did all polished chrome accents with a mix of brass. My original plan was to do polished chrome, but I love mixing metals and Mr. Fancy and Reagan both wanted some pops of brass. So, I added it with the mirror, the lights and some of the hardware. I ended up doing a prefab vanity for all bathrooms. It saved the cost of build, paint, marble and marble fabrication, so it just made more sense for these small spaces. The tile is complete and next up is vanity and shower doors, then paint. My hope is to have all of these bathrooms completed by the end of next week! Take a peek at the inspo for Reagan’s bathroom and I can’t wait to show you the finished product, soon!
