It’s no secret that I love home decor. I have too much fun planning and decorating rooms. Whenever a friend asks for my opinion on their homes, I am so excited to help! My friend, Janelle told me she was planning to makeover one of their bedrooms for her teenage daughters and make it into a fun teen hangout. She wanted their home to be the place for all the friends to hang! I loved this idea and I offered to help right away! I sent her this mood board and gave her my ideas. I thought a glam boho look would be fun! This chandelier and this pineapple pillow were my inspiration. I had seen this sea glass chandelier recently and fell in love with it! I am trying to figure out where I can use it in my own house. I am pumped to see this in their space! Aqua an gold go so well together and I wanted to add in some wicker and wood for a fun juxtaposition. She and her daughters were thrilled with my ideas and I am so excited for their room! I seriously can’t wait to see the finished product.

I originally suggested this coffee table, but it was too large for this space. She chose to do two of these cute little tables instead. Plus, they can be moved easily, if they need to pull out the sleeper sofa, so it makes more sense. I also suggested adding a Moroccan pouf (you may remember from my master bedroom), for extra seating/it can also be used as an ottoman for the chair. I also thought having a basket of floor pillows would be perfect for extra seating as well. She is hoping this will be the hangout for her girls and their pals, so we wanted to be sure we had lots of seating options, besides the couch and the chair! I suggested this lamp on top of this bar cart (you might remember this one from my office) for one side of the couch. It’s going to be SO cute!
