Tuesday Talk

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I can’t believe it’s already the third Tuesday in February! In case you missed our announcement last month, ERIKA and I are doing a monthly linkup on the third Tuesday of every month, called Tuesday Talk! Basically, you can just linkup and talk about whatever floats your boat that week! You can see last month’s post HERE. I am super excited to be back this month and I love to see what we all was to talk about on these Tuesdays! This month is going to be a little bit of everything and lots of #realtalk, as there is just so much going on around here! EEEEKKKK!

So, I know you have to feel me on this…Life is so darn busy right now. Ive been feeling like I was so excited for the weekend every week this month and that feeling starts Monday or Tuesday! I’m not sure what is making it so busy, just lots of stuff going on and lots of commitments. I’ve definitely learned to say “no” more and that has helped. I was in such a funk last week, as I said on my Instagram Stories on Friday and I honestly think most of it was that i just had zero free time. I was completely over-scheduled and had a long to do list last week. Guess what? I didn’t even accomplish half of it. Grace! My kids had yesterday off and they also have today off and we are just hanging at home. Ive realized it’s been months since we had a day where we could wakeup and didn’t have anywhere to be! Saturdays are sports and we leave at 8:40, every week and then, Church on Sundays! So, yesterday, we sat around, ate chocolate chip pancakes at 11am and stayed in pajamas a good amount of the day, just because we could and it was glorious and much needed.

I am in the process of (trying to??) organize my closet (or trying to figure out the best way to organize it) and goodness, it’s crazy in there. When we moved in, in December, Mr. Fancy and I just unpacked ALL the wardrobe boxes to get them out of our bathroom and bedroom, which meant, clothes are shoes are all over and it’s a free-for-all in there. It actually stresses me out every darn time I walk in there. There is ZERO organization and there are clothes and shoes are everywhere. Since we share a closet, it’s even more chaotic in there. Since clothes and shoes are a huge part of my job, I need to get that place set up! Part of me thinks I need an organizational expert to come in and help because it’s so overwhelming to me. And there’s also that lack of time that I mentioned earlier. I keep adding it to my weekly list and keep putting it off. I think I need a massive trip to The Container Store! Do you know any good organizational experts in Houston? Do these angels exist? If so, please send them my way!

I am really excited to debut our kitchen in the next few weeks. I am trying to get a post finished with all the demo deets as well. I think we are almost ready to shoot the kitchen..just a few more odds and ends that need to be taken care of and lots of open shelving to style. Woohoo!! You can definitely catch glimpses of it in my Instagram Stories though! We spend a lot of time in there!
