Velvet Loafers Now and Later

Happy Wednesday friends! I hope you are having a great week! It’s officially the first day of school here! I didn’t think I was ready to get back into the routine, but I found myself very ready when Monday rolled around! The kids were super excited to get back and see all of their friends, too! I’ll admit, every year around this time, I find myself antsy and ready for fall. The heat and humidity is miserable in Texas and I swear it can just make you feel so funky. I actually talked about this on my stories and SO many of you have felt the same way. Let’s hope we get some cooler weather earlier this year! As you know, I am a huge Sole Society fan. I’ve loved partnering with them over the past few months and I was thrilled to bring you today’s post, in honor of impending fall, but also in honor of the time we have left of the summer. I saw these velvet loafers and fell in love. I have a huge place in my wardrobe for a great LOAFER that goes with everything and THESE do just that. Naturally, I grabbed them in the BLUSH PINK color, but really, these velvet loafers come in so many colors, you just can’t go wrong! I’m a huge fan of wearing them with shorts because this just gives me an opportunity to transition them from summer to fall!

I paired my velvet loafers with my favorite basic TEE, this fabulous KIMONO and a great pair of denim SHORTS. I also have to mention that this NECKLACE is a must, because it goes with everything! I love the layered look! Also, this PURSE is a fall must! It comes in a few colors, but I loved this two tone brown version! It’s literally fall perfection! Plus, it has an optional crossbody strap and y’all know how much I love a crossbody bag!

As fall approaches, these velvet loafers, in any color, are perfection with jeans. I have them on with my favorite JEANS of the moment and paired them again with this perfect TEE and this COCOON WRAP! This WRAP is another perfect piece to take from summer into fall. Once the weather gets cooler, pair it with a long sleeve tee or turtleneck! Again, I paired it with this cute PURSE.
