Happy Monday lovelies!!!! Did you have a fabulous weekend?! We totally did! Not much going on again, except beach pictures on Saturday night, which ended with a dinner picnic on the beach. Blessed weekend for sure! Can you believe it’s July 1st?!!!!!!! I can’t!!! To say “time is flying,” is an understatement! Are you ready for the 4th of July?! We are doing a small par-tay here with our neighbors, who are basically family and my brother and I can’t wait! I don’t have much red, white and blue decor (note to self: get more red, white and blue decor!) and I needed something quick and simple to put up! Since I am so obsessed with pom-poms, I decided to make a fancy and fabulous pom-pom garland for my family room! I am in love with how it turned out!! I am making one for Reagan’s fiesta too and might add one to my bulletin board as well. You can never have too many pom-poms in your house and that is a fact!
The necessities:
thread
pom-poms
needle
You don’t need much to create this fancy little garland of fabulousness and if you are anything like me, you probably have all the necessities at home ready to do it! I have a huge collection of pom-poms from over the years!
I started off by threading my needle. I tied a little knot at the end of the piece of thread. You can measure the space you plan to put the garland…or you can be like me and guesstimate the space and hope it works…that’s typically how I roll.
I just went in a red, white and blue order and that was really my only plan.
I mixed large, medium and small pom-poms. There was no order that I was meaning to go in. I like that better. Not planning too much in advance, usually makes the finished product turn out better, in my experience.
When I was finished, I just tied a tiny knot at the other end and hung it on my mantle. Then I spread the pom-poms out, so they have space between them.
That’s it! This is a simple, fabulous and fancy, nap-time project for sure! This is going to be my new, go to decoration from now on! It’s quick and adorable and you can customize it for any theme! Yay! I love that!!
I hope you have a fabulous Monday! I’m currently wishing I could have an iv of coffee because I’m so tired. That would be awesome. Ha! Monday am is always tough, isn’t it?! Maybe you can even squeeze in some time today or tomorrow to make your own fancy pom-pom garland for your own 4th of July par-tay?! I hope so!!! This would be the perfect addition!
Your blog is fabulous! So glad I found you on instagram recently. I am enjoying wearing red, white, and blue all week, and I love how you wore it here while crafting 🙂
